Well, “your day” is no more. There’s every likelihood that this out-of-control “student’s” parent(s) couldn’t be contacted, refused to intervene or simply DIDN’T CARE.

Evidently, the principal called the officer on duty. And, I am sure, back in your day, students were probably more disciplined.

In mine the teacher would have handled it. Usually the same way the cop did. There weren't many second offenses.
