I do not expect you to be happy with this, but at the time I graduated from high school, my Army had no women, the Methodist Church, of which my Father was an elder, ordained no female ministers, and I was happy with that environment.

Regarding the application of the Bible commandments to moral human behavior, not only was the design of the sexes not confused, but they were to be so different in social function as not even to dress alike, and any summation of Scripture ought to include the following:

"The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God" (Deu. 22:5 AV).

Taking the combat arms and church polity in consideration, the status in 1954 was as follows (both statements from Wiki):

"The WAC was disbanded in 1978, and all units were integrated with male units. . . . WAC Armorers maintained and repaired small arms and heavy weapons but WACs were not allowed to be trained in their use until 1978 and were not issued firearms until the 1980s."

"The ordination of women in the United Methodist Church has occurred since its creation in 1968. Some of the groups that later became part of the United Methodist Church started ordaining women in the late 19th century, but the largest group, the Methodist Church, did not grant women full clergy rights until 1956."

I will never accept the inclusion of females into these roles. Black, yes, no excuse for preferential treatment in these areas for me; but intrusion and inclusion of females into these disciplines . . . no. I do not feel that it is right at all, ever. The pre-incarnate Jesus wrote the Old Covenant as well as being the subject of the New, and He hasn't changed, as Scripture testifies.

I accept you as a fellow Christian, equal in value in the Lord's eyes and in my own, but not in the role of an Army unit commander nor as a candidate for ordination as a man of God and pastor of a church.

The need for irreplaceable godly women to fulfill their role in creation is so great that none should ever contemplate vacating that appointment to attempt a lesser task not within their purview.

Yours are wise words, but hard for many to accept.

I have found that truly comprehending that God is Jesus to be God with us, opens pathways in the mind of those professing Christ as Savior and Lord. Jesus wanted His disciples to get this message, as shown in John chapter 14, where Jesus gives Phillip a Physics lesson. Because of the way God made Phillip (all us humans), Phillip is limited in what level of dimensional complexity he can perceive. Jesus told him that the only 'amount' of God The Father Almighty that Phillip could see was where God The Father Almighty intersected Phillips field of limitations, as Jesus the man, God with him. To perceive more complexity of God The Father would require that Phillip be transformed to a higher dimensional being ... and we have been givent he strong clues that such is PRECISELY what Phillip and the rest of believers in Jesus will have done to them at the Rapture.

John writes that when Jesus appears in His greater complexity, we will see Him as He really IS, for we shall be like Him ... God is going to transform us into higher dimensional complexity and in that state we shall see so much more of Whom is I AM.
