Sure it does. All you need is a belief and followers of that belief that elevate that belief to a dogma, not an actual godhead. Likewise liberalism is a religion. Their faith is in leftist ideals and their God is Marx.
Enviros have Gaia and the doctrine that nature is greater than man. They all gather and ritually worship just as any faith does as well.

And I guess I’ll add as well that above all else, no matter what one does, be it a bloody fight or something lighter, going into any battle or ordeal without talking to God and praying for His direction first, is a losing proposition as far as I’m concerned. I never discount the power of God to open even the seemingly most closed of minds if it’s His desire or will to do so.
