The price of the benchmark ObamaCare plan will jump by 7.5 percent on average next year, according to data released Monday.
The premium increase is far more than last year’s 2 percent jump among benchmark silver plans. Those plans, the second-lowest cost option among silver plans, are important because they determine healthcare subsidies for people living in that area, even if they pick a different tiered plan.

The increase for next year does not take into account the billions of dollars in government subsidies that are given to people on the exchanges. It also doesn’t include the dozen state marketplaces that set their own rates and determine their own benchmark plans.
The data released Monday afternoon shows that the change in premium prices varies widely among the 34 states.

And why isn’t the news of financial trouble of the Obamacare exchanges all over the news on the alphabet networks??? Are the media deciding to simply ignore this bad news about the impacts of Obamacare??? Is it because they are reluctant to report anything which reflects badly on Obama????

Premiums won’t go up when healthcare is free, only, taxes, and those on the rich.
I hear ya. Mine went up 60% last year and is set to go up 30% this year. And that’s in spite of the fact that I went from a Silver to a Bronze plan - and it still went up that much.
Our “grandfathered” plan went up 15%. All other options cost at least 70% more. And the granfathering goes away in about a year.
Mine looks like it will be 17% increase in premium, and I don’t know about the co-pays and deductibles, but expect they will also increase. It is frightening.

If we had an opposition political party you’d be hearing the news because its representatives would be on message and shouting loudly. However, after voting against its passage, the Republican Party has consistently voted to fund Obamacare fully, has refused to use the legislature’s constitutional powers to repeal the law or end its funding.
The truth is the Chamber of Commerce, which funds the GOP, wants single payer government funded healthcare as badly as the Democrats. The entire establishment (GOP, Democrat Party, academia, media, big business, government bureaucracy, poverty lobby, legal establishment) is 100% behind taxpayer funded single payer medical. Obamacare is a step on the pathway to single payer. Hence, the only opposition is from the middle class producing class who will once again bear the cost.

Barry repeatedly said his healthcare plan would reduce the typical family’s annual premiums by up to $2,500 per year. Often, he did not include the caveat “up to,” simply saying the “typical” family would save about $2,500 a year on premiums.
