Anthem, the Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBS) licensee in Wisconsin, has decided to completely pull out of the health care exchange (individual plans) market place in Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha counties starting January. Anthem is also significantly cutting back on the number of available exchange plans in 34 Wisconsin counties, which include the Fox Valley, according to Scott Larrivee, Public Relations Director at Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Wisconsin.
Anthem individual members in these [Milwaukee, Kenosha and Racine] counties will need to select a new health insurance plan with a different company for 2016, Larrivee said, noting that Anthem is communicating with members to make sure they understand their options.

Just got a letter in the mail today. My individual plan has been cancelled. But I can choose a plan that increases my deductible $1000 and premium 20%.
But don’t forget our president, yes, the illustrious Barack Hussein Obama, promised we’d save $2500 annually on our health insurance premiums. That was a lie of course. Sky high, increasing premiums. Sky high deductibles. Sky high copays. Diminishing health insurance providers. Gee, who’d a thunk?
“Just got a letter in the mail today. My individual plan has been cancelled. But I can choose a plan that increases my deductible $1000 and premium 20%.”
Wow, got a deal, huh? Many won’t be that “fortunate”.
Only going to get worse. Obamacare is a disaster of the highest order.
but your pap smears and breast exams are only going up 18%, which is still a reasonable price for men.
So when does all the state wide exchanges and these high sky high premiums all come tumbling down? I keep waiting but all I hear is crickets.
I received a similar letter. Basically, I have to pay all medical/drug costs up to $6k annually or my premium doubles. Thanks, Democrats. You’ll get yours, you scum-sucking, bottom-feeding swine.
In the years since DeathCare began,my premiums have doubled and my deductible has gone to $7,000 per year with co-pays to an out opocket maximum of $12,000. And my network of doctors has shrunk dramatically. The kenyan anti-christ should b e hanged by the neck until dead for its offenses.
That’s $12,900.
Yeah, me too. I forgot to mention that I lost my insurance plan when it closed shop and left my state, then I lost my favorite specialist because he’s out of network, then my premiums went through the roof and I lost drug, hospitalization and ER co-pays.
I am relatively fortunate in that I recently became very ill and disabled, but apart from the fully expected prmiums, deductibles, and co-pays, I’ve been able to get some good doctors, I haven’t had to do too much “dialing for doctors,” all appointments, surgeries, and treatments have been timely, and nearly all procedures, treatments, and prescriptions have been covered.
It’s been costing an arm and a leg, but, hey, it’s only money. And I’m alive. I could have died.
Our son, who has cancer, just got notif that his plan has changed with 50% increase in premiums and double in deductibles.
The Left's plan is gelling....
Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader.....
GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!
It appears the exchanges are a slow motion train wreck. You can see this with the health co-op failures and yearly cancellations by the big insurance carriers. A third of the co-ops have failed and most of the others are in trouble according to news accounts. Not sure how long it is going to take for the implosion to take place.
And this implosion you speak of, will it kill O’Care or just raise our taxes to the moon? If it is a tax increase then it seems to me it will drive the country into bankruptcy.
I suspect the uni-party will just throw more money at it. Maybe the exchanges turn into medicaid 2 program. Enrollees pay something for rationed care and big insurance companies get paid to administer the program like regular medicaid.
