Many of the voters are obviously more interested in keeping the flow of debt going, especially federal pork to the various locales. They’re cheering for an invasion of entertainment celebrities and global corporate bosses in the Executive branch.

I spoke to another Tea Party group over the weekend. Very small turnout. You might say, "It's you," except it was an all day event and I was only one of three speakers.

Mostly an older crowd, too. I felt energy go out of the Tea Party in 2010. That doesn't mean they don't vote, but the "Freedom groups" that sprang up have shrunk or disappeared.

What Tea Party? I see no evidence of a Tea Party.

Sure - say that you are a member of Tea Party and get the Lois Lerner IRS special 'attention'...

I'd not identify myself as such to any polling Group.

That said, I don't think I ever would've called myself a 'member' -- because it never was a real Party. I agree with their fiscal positions - but I don't think they took any positions regarding social positions (e.g., opposition to the Sodomite Lobby; Pro-Life; Pro-Christian), which I rank as more important issues.

I suspect it has something to do with the “Tea Party” going Washington. After all, when “Tea Party” elected officials act just like inside-the-beltway politicos, as many of them have, it tends to disillusion people.

Ridiculous poll, since the Tea Party isn’t an entity. How about asking how many favor the tenets, such as lower fedgov interference in our live, lower federal spending, etc.

Gallup is too afraid to poll the Presidential race this cycle, so why should we trust them on this political issue?

One possible explanation is that Republican grass roots folk math be less and less likely to say “Tea Party” and now more likely to claim to be anti-establishment.

One thing seems certain: the goals of the Tea Party (a smaller and less intrusive federal government coupled with a deeper respect for the original intent of the Constitution) continues in the citizenry.

Trump, Carson, and Cruz all understand and appeal to that voting bloc.

Polls...phhht.
What political party do you support?...click.
How many guns do you own?....click.
Do you support gay marriage?...click.
It's kinda like that.

Actually, I think most people are simply sick of the stinking RINO party. Dudden matter what they call themselves on the side.

Results for this Gallup poll are based on telephone interviews conducted Oct. 7-11, 2015, with a random sample of 1,015 national adults, aged 18 and older, living in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. For results based on the total sample of national adults, the margin of sampling error is ±4 percentage points at the 95% confidence level.

Snort! How many people actually answered the phone for this poll, and how many actually live in flyover country?

They probably surveyed 500 Democrats. :-)

Here’s the answer right out in front.

“Major drop in support from independents who lean toward GOP”

This has to be a poll buster. Who in their RIGHT MIND would lean toward GOP-e? How many supporters have THEY lost amid the confusion and deceit which has become our DC Elites? The TEA PARTY is still around and still to be reckoned with. No matter how many times they might claim the opposite...they will still be wrong in their assumption.

The AMERICAN way!! No leader yet we are still heard. No leader who would sell his soul to the devil for a few pretty words and a passel of coins. Why would we settle for one such as the one in the oo. Aesop’s fable attempted to tell the tale “The Frogs who desired a King”
