TILLWATER, Oklahoma -
We're told three people are dead and several others are hurt at the Oklahoma State University Homecoming Parade Saturday. A vehicle ran into the crowd causing the deaths and multiple injuries.
The Stillwater mayor has confirmed the three fatalities. The mayor reports two people are in critical condition and 27 have been taken to the hospital. Eight helicopters in all responded to the scene.
Witnesses tell News On 6 it was terrifying as a car crashed into parade watchers at high speed. The car was not part of the parade but was on Main before crashing into the crowd at the intersection with Hall of Fame. A police motorcycle unit was also hit, according to reports.
No word yet on the driver of the car or why it crashed into the scene. Witnesses say the scene was very chaotic, with victims everywhere - men, women and children.

Homicide, as in, intentional, as opposed to drunk driving manslaughter?
Is that from her Twitter page? I refuse to sign up in order to see who she’s following.
There’s very little to see now on her FB page. Friends list has been scrubbed, and just a few photos. No comments on any of the pics.
Adacia Chambers
Probably still wasted from the night before.
Gonna be one helluva hangover.
Guessing all of her friends just unfriended her.
Yes, and tires should be registered, after the factory stamps the unique serial number into each tire so that it leaves its imprint at the crime scene.
And every car needs to have a retina-lock. Cars with retina-locks are only a few thousand dollars more expensive, but they prevent people with abnormal retina movements from mental disorders, or pupil dilation from intoxication from getting behind the wheel. And that saves lives. What price can you put on a life? If only one life is saved, it's worth installing them in tens of millions of cars!
frankly, I don’t know who bammy’s mother is.....
Sue the car maker and booze mfgr for wrongful death.
How many people get THAT drunk and drive Noontime Saturday?
You evidently dont know much about drunk drivers. You would be very wrong to assume they are just a hazard late at night or after the bars close.
A few years ago I was driving to work on a country road in Lancaster County, Rt. 441, going up a very steep hill called Chickies Hill, a narrow road that runs parallel to the Susquehanna River. I was behind a very late model pickup truck that half way up the hill, suddenly braked hard, nearly stopped in the middle of the road for no apparent reason, and then sped up, sped up to a high rate of speed but swerved well off the shoulder, braked hard again and then sped up again and swerved to the other side of the road, across the double yellow line and into oncoming traffic and did this several more times. Many drivers comming the opposite direct were flashing their high beams as a warning.
I obviously kept well behind this very erratic and dangerous driver and didnt attempt to pass but I did try to get close enough to get a plate number and once I got it, I then pulled off to the side of the road and called 9-11 on my cell phone. And I evidently wasnt the only one calling it in.
I got back on the road but around the next curve saw the pickup truck on the side of the road, half in a ditch so I pulled up behind it, put my flashers on and called 9-11 again. The driver appeared to be passed out and slumped over the steering wheel and I was concerned that perhaps the driver was having a medical emergency or was injured but the 9-11 operator advised me to stay in my car until the police arrived and less than 30 seconds later, two police cars pulled up.
I stayed in my car and eventually I saw them getting a young woman, a petit pretty blonde woman, probably no older than her early 30s, out of the truck, and then after she staggered around and waved her arms around wildly and evidently arguing and not being cooperative, the cops cuffing her.
Then one of the cops came up and asked me if I was one of the people who had called 9-11 and I said yes. He took a statement from me as to what I had observed and then I asked him, Is the driver OK? and he said, Well sort of. I asked if she was drunk and the cop said, I cant say for sure but there was a very strong odor of alcohol on her breath, in the vehicle, and at least a dozen empty beer cans in the cap and an open and half empty bottle of Jack Daniels in the consoled. Her speech is very slurred, her eyes bloodshot and shes refusing to take a breathalyzer or a sobriety check, so based on that, shes going to jail. Good I said, and the cop thanked me for calling it in and told me that I would be contacted later on my statement if needed, which I never was. As I pulled away and drove past, I saw her doubled over in handcuffs and puking her guts out.
This BTW was at 7:30 in the morning!
And less than a ¼ mile up the road from where she crashed into a ditch and was arrested, is a school bus stop were at least two dozen kids were standing along the side of the road, waiting for their bus.
I have no sympathy for drunk drivers.
Ok, that's a bit of a surprise.
‘It would appear that Obama, Hillary need to go on TV’
Or come up with a Youtube video backing up this woman’s apparent frustration with a parade.
Remember the days when many 25 year old women had been married for 4-6 years, had 2 to 3 kids and were busy caring for their family and home. That oppressive society was nice, peaceful and caring. We now have 25 year old drunken children.
What I have been able to view indicates an interest in “women’s empowerment” / lesbianism and on the periphery (those she follows) the SL/Tamil battle/diaspora.
It should be interesting to see if she was driving solo, where she was coming from and where she was going.
Crashing through barricades in broad daylight, excessive speed, taking out a copsicle, not plowing into a wall or tree, but dozens of people indicates specific intent, not blind drunkeness.
Keep in mind - those were the days when I wouldn't be able to get a mortgage, I wouldn't have been able to get credit, I would have had a difficult time getting into medical school, and I would have been paid much less than a man for any job I was able to get. And it wasn't that long ago.
I have a cousin whose husband was killed in Vietnam. She couldn't get credit at Sears Roebuck. They wouldn't give any women credit. They gave her dead husband an account so she was able to buy her refrigerator. Off topic, I know, but it's easy to romanticize how wonderful the past was. And it was for some people.
But not as pure .
[She follows at least one group that has multiple public references to terrorism and a struggle and appears to be very sympathetic to a movement, that according to the FBI, quote Pioneered the use of women in suicide attacks.]
Holy cow.
I suspect she isnt white. Obama’s mother that is.
