[Note: I slightly modified the title of the piece to make it more clear the subject matter]
I for one am sick and tired of being blamed for the actions of a few usually leftist lunatics.

And I'm sick and tired of the usual routine of the #nationalSocialistLeft trying to incrementally destroy our rights with scams like Intergalactic Background Checks.

You can't ‘compromise’ with someone who is lying about their ultimate intention - Gun CONFISCATION.

And you can't ‘compromise’ with someone who will be back time and time again with more demands about surrendering your freedom.

I arrived at this very conclusion about all liberals, and all liberal arguments.

I no longer bother to argue with liberals, I just yell EFF YOU and leave the thread.

You can’t have them. Not if you want to see tomorrow. This argument is over.

Not to blow my own horn, but I’ve posted a link to this article about a dozen times over the last two months.

Sorry.

You don’t argue with the zealots to change their minds. You argue with them to keep the mushy middle folks from accepting their arguments.

BTW, the NRA has been running some great commercials on Fox news lately. I love the one with the black woman who lives in a housing project talking about the government threatened to kick her out if she bought one.

I heartily approve, and add my codicil to the parting shot:

"[Screw] you, A-hole!"

“Screw you.” That’s it. Except the first word isn’t “Screw.”-—Then a bullet hole appears in their forehead.

***They want to do it in baby steps, and with our cooperation, since they cannot do it by force.***

As noted before. One step at a time!

Nelson T. ‘Pete’ Shields
Founder of Handgun Control, Inc.

“I’m convinced that we have to have federal legislation to build on. We’re going to have to take one step at a time, and the first step is necessarily — given the political realities — going to be very modest.

Of course, it’s true that politicians will then go home and say, ‘This is a great law. The problem is solved.’ And it’s also true that such statements will tend to defuse the gun-control issue for a time.

So then we’ll have to strengthen that law, and then again to strengthen that law, and maybe again and again. Right now, though, we’d be satisfied not with half a loaf but with a slice. Our ultimate goal — total control of handguns in the United States — is going to take time.

My estimate is from seven to ten years. The problem is to slow down the increasing number of handguns sold in this country. The second problem is to get them all registered. And the final problem is to make the POSSESSION OF ALL HANDGUNS, and all handgun ammunition — except for the military, policemen, licensed security guards, licensed sporting clubs, and licensed gun collectors — TOTALLY ILLEGAL.”

-Pete Shields, Chairman and founder, Handgun Control Inc., “A Reporter At Large: Handguns,” The New Yorker, July 26, 1976, 57-58

“Yes, I’m for an outright ban [on handguns].”

-Pete Shields, Chairman emeritus, Handgun Control, Inc., 60 Minutes interview

HCI, around 1984, came out in favor of a ban on semi-auto rifles and shotguns.

If they get their way, anything not banned simply means they will be along shortly to collect the remainder.

Plus their “compromises” are fake. You “compromise” by ceding ground, while they compromise by letting you give up less than in their wettest, most fascist dreams. The civil rights ratchet only clicks one direction with them, the wrong one.

This same tactic applies to the entire liberal agenda, not just gun control. Abortion, illegal immigration, muslime apologism, BlackLivesMatter racism, homosexuality, religion ... you name it.

We’re never going to convince them they’re wrong because their “arguments” defy reason. So why bother? Stop them any way you can, including civil disobedience. But don’t think for a second that logic is going to sway them.

You can’t argue with someone who is lying about his position or whose position is not based upon reason.

Been saying those almost exact words for years now.

Gun control activists are liar’s who you simply can not negotiate with. Gun owners are in favor of gun laws designed to punish misuse and prevent the wrong people from getting guns. Gun control activists exploit that to get their true goals advanced.
