yes......Not sure what caused that accident, if it was one, but Patton was most certainly right on target.
An Army 2 1/2 ton truck attempted a left turn in front of Patton’s staff car. Patton’s driver and another general riding with Patton weren’t injured at all. Patton suffered a broken neck and was left paralyzed when his head struck a metal partition between the front and rear seats. He died twelve days later in the hospital. More here:
