Here’s what’s screwy about this. I’m certainly not going to defend the presidency of George W. Bush as a whole. But then, there haven’t been a whole lot of presidencies period that we can defend as a whole and some have been disasters.

That said, conservatives, at least the conservatives I’ve known, have responded to this issue just as you basically have time and time again. Bush inherited a mess from Billy Boy, including the wall between intelligence agencies, the seeming lack of concern with bin Laden and Islamic terror, and the lack of details and specifics regarding this “imminent threat”.

I’m not going to sit here and say the Bush administration got everything right. I think obviously they did not.

But it’s real interesting and even real telling to me that all it takes is this guy who’s been all over the map over the years on his political views that now that he’s a “conservative” apparently leading the polls for the Republican nomination, and we can’t question him on anything because he’s never wrong, all it takes is him in some way saying “Bush’s fault” and some of us go, “oh yeah, Bush’s fault.”

It makes one wonder what else Trump can magically convince people that everything they thought they knew was wrong in the blink of an eye.

Hopefully Trump will convince us to put to death the "Free Trade" globalist cult, that also needs to die a bloody death.
