It doesn’t matter whether he offers “good money.” In the case of Vera Coking, she and her family had owned that house for decades and wasn’t interested in selling. She didn’t want “more.” She wanted to remain in the home she’d known for much of her life Sometimes — yes, it may seem unbelievable in modern-day America — people value certain things more than money.

I was quite happy to see she won that court battle. But that was then.. before Kelo.. no wonder Trump is such a fan of that decision.

That's fine and maybe great in the big picture. But in the medium-sized picture Trump wanted to do something greater with that property. And yes he would benefit the most as with all of his deals.

The way I see the country shaking out is there is a hopeless bottomless pit offered by the Dems and a slippery slope being offered by the GOP. The GOP has not stopped the slide into the pit, but has even greased the slope more with amnesty, medicare drugs, etc. We don't know that Trump won't do some stupid stuff too. But we do know that he will make America great. It's not much and probably means nothing to Vera Coking, but right now that's all I've got.
