A few of us aren’t fans of Red State and, therefore, won’t read the article. I glean from some of the responses in the thread, some have read it in it’s entirety, and conclude the author presumes Trump supporters don’t know how dreadful he is and the article is an attempt to badger people to reconsider their support. I follow Trump closely and so far have not seen any show-stoppers.

But to answer the question, there are virtually thousands of things that Trump could say or do that would cause me to change my allegiance. If and when he does I will be sure to let you know.

Where is his current position paper or statement on this.

Whenever I have seen this assertion it turns out to hark back to a statement by Trump that at one time he believed the Canadian system to be the best, but now he understands it is not suitable.

Detractors, of course, act as though they have found the mother lode of anti-Trump TDS Kryptonite here.

So you never told us what would it have taken for you to stop supporting Scott Walker.

Nothing he could say or do will cause them to stop supporting him.

I think the closer we get to the actual election, Trump will provide greater details. If he makes it through the primaries, and all the way to the August Convention in Cleveland, Donald will almost have to elaborate, add some meat to these bare boned ideas. Some details, but not all. Never all.

Donald is correct in that one doesn’t show your entire hand of cards right away, if ever. That which is unseen and unclear can work in your favor, either through fear of results or anticipation of goals attained.

That’s asinine; it has been listed out here.

However the question in a larger sense is an attempt to pick a fight. Well Trump is not shy to fight.

“Sadly, I hold out little hope that this article will be read in full,”

Maybe if you tried actually posting the article, instead of teasing it. The redstate blog is not on the FR “excerpt only list.” See? (I’m a Cruz supporter, btw, and Cruz has done things that I don’t agree with so the blogger’s premise is a reach).

Bottom line: you don’t care about Trump’s positions - you want to bring the walls down no matter what.

It used to need to be excerpted (I was unaware that had changed). I like to post articles in full.

If America wanted to put Kelo away tomorrow, the means would not have any president in the path and could proceed unhindered with Trump on a glide path to the Oval Office.. This is a red herring. Since when has America had to be assumed incompetent to chew gum and walk at the same time, that it needs a nanny even if it is a conservative nanny?

If you've already embraced all his liberal socialist baggage, and things far beyond what would have disqualified other Republicans, how can any fact dissuade you?

Even though he has multiple times snuck amnesty talk in, and has zero credibility on immigration, what would make you mistrust him? You've already crossed the river, why look back. Facts don't matter anymore.

Trump is the only one seriously talking about putting walls UP.

This question has never been asked of any other candidate ‘s supporters. In history. Suddenly it is a burning question for Trump supporters. Why?

“So many posts made in defense of avoiding giving a simple answer.”

A simple answer might be something like if Trump was found to have had sex with an animal, I could no longer support him. Then I would have taken the bait and then you could say: Seriously? It would have to get that bad before you would stop supporting him?

So, what’s the point of conducting this foolish exercise?
