National Socialism was still socialism. It was not in a left-right struggle with the Soviet communists; they were competing brands of the same product.

I asked many a leftist and they can’t seem to explain how the word ‘national’ has some unseen magical powers to wholly change the meaning of the word Socialist.
The Nazis also cooperated with the Soviets with the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact.. but leftists tend to forget that little snippet of history.

Socialists believe in central planning. Did the Nazis believe in that? Yes.
Socialists believe in ending debate once the center has decided on something. Did the Nazis believe in that? Yes.
Socialists believe in limiting personal rights for the good of the state. Did the Nazis believe in that? Yes.
But wait, the socialists will say, the Nazis believed in a strong military, and that's a rightist policy. What the socialists will not admit is that the Nazis wanted a strong military to further socialist ideals.
