The Deafness Before the Storm

By KURT EICHENWALDSEPT. 10, 2012

On Aug. 6, 2001, President George W. Bush received a classified review of the threats posed by Osama bin Laden and his terrorist network, Al Qaeda. That morning’s “presidential daily brief” — the top-secret document prepared by America’s intelligence agencies — featured the now-infamous heading: “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.” A few weeks later, on 9/11, Al Qaeda accomplished that goal.

OT?

“Some people think that Jebby Jr. is the heir of the Bush family in the presidential seat. Imagine the first lady of the US might be an Arab woman!”

An Iraqi Jordanian girl marries Bush the “grandson”

Generations of the Republican dynasty gathered in Miami last week of May to celebrate the wedding of former Gov. Jeb Bush’s youngest son John Ellis Bush, Jr. aka “Jebby”, whose grandfather, former president, infamously called him a “little brown one”.

Presidents George Herbert Walker Bush and George W. Bush and their wives Barbra and Laura were among the guests at St. Jude Melkite Catholic Church as 26-year-old John Ellis Bush Jr. married Sandra Algudady on Saturday afternoon.

The elder Bush appeared frail as he walked into the church with a cane wearing a white summer suit. His granddaughters, Jenna and Barbara, were also in attendance.

Isn’t that ironic? The nephew of former U.S. President George W. Bush marries an Iraqi girl holding a Jordanian passport!

Sandra is 30 years old and comes from a Jordanian father and an Iraqi mother and is the director of an charity called “Strathril” that is supporting marginalized youth in the Middle East and Europe. She previously worked for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and got a Master’s degree in sociology from the University of McGill Canada.

The groom, also known as the “Pocket”, 26, is working in the real estate company, Florida, and reflects the ambition of the Family “Bush” to preserve the legacy of its political influence in the United States and within the structures of the Republican Party in particular, despite the bad image due to his arrest in 2005 in the case of sugar .

This is a wedding that would make your eyebrows rise :) “Sandra Algudady” a simple girl from an Arab family marrying a “Bush” one of the most influential families in the US, actually a family that ruled the United States of America. Some people think that Jebby Jr. is the heir of the Bush family in the presidential seat. Imagine the first lady of the US might be an Arab woman!

Sandra is 4 years older that the “Pocket” by “Sandrais that marriage based on love and mutual admiration , or are there other financial/political considerations? This is what we will find out with time…

How Women are Transforming the Middle East

www.cmec.org.uk, 28 Oct 2008 [cached]
The speakers were Baroness Afshar of York University, Zeina Al-Khalifa, Political Counsellor at the Bahrain Embassy and Sandra Al-Gudady, Director of the StratReal Foundation.
...
Sandra Al-Gudady highlighted the role of women in business in the UAE and the strong role models in the region such as Queen Rania of Jordan. She also questioned the western perception of “the veil” as a sign of subordination and called for a more open minded approach. She argued that at times the West even causes harm with its approach to the issue and stressed that whilst the role of women in the West and Middle East are culturally different, Arab women are still at the forefront of public life and emphasised the vital role they play as mothers of future generations.
