Trump tweets NYT story on Bush failing to heed 9/11 warning
The Hill ^ | October 19, 2015 | Mark Hensch

Posted on 10/19/2015 12:40:17 PM PDT by maggief

Donald Trump is not letting Americans forget that the 9/11 terrorist attacks happened under former President George W. Bush.

Trump’s relentless attacks on the issue come as he battles former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-Fla.), George W. Bush’s brother, for the GOP’s presidential nomination in 2016.

“Interesting reading re: September 11th,” he tweeted Monday afternoon, referencing a New York Times story titled “The Bush White House was Deaf to 9/11 Warnings.” “Jeb is fighting to defend a catastrophic event,” Trump said of Jeb Bush in a separate post.

“I am fighting to make sure it doesn’t happen again,” he added. "Jeb is too soft – we need tougher & sharper.”

His facts or true facts?

You tell me, what is it he said that you claim is not a fact?

Bye bye to you troll. Frankly you have worn out your welcome. Perhaps Hillary has an open place for you on her staff.

Have a nice day!

I agree. A dime will get you a dollar that Trump doesn't say anything without knowing whether there is documentation to back it up. I also think he's intentionally vague so that when the target pushes back hard Trump can hit them back hard with the documentation and proof. He also does it on social media which can't be effectively filtered or blocked by the presstitutes.

A key power of the American presidency is the bully pulpit and Trump would be a master at it. With this one skill alone he stands head and shoulders above the rest of the Republican weenies.

Who disagrees?

Really? We’re going to play “he started it” politics now? Trump could not have prevented those attacks, had he been President.

Again, Jeb can be hammered on a whole host of issues. Going after what his brother did or did not do prior to 9/11 is just grandstanding.

In 2004, Bush’s counter terrorism chief Clarke said Bush was fixated on Saddam and ignored Al-Qaeda.

Because Saddam tried to kill his Dad.

if he considered the attacks an inevitability what did he do..THEN..to try to stop them.???

Well, I guess he could have loaded up his 727 with Molotov Cocktails and dropped them on Afghanistan. I don’t think the Government likes Nuclear Arms in the hands of Civilian Property Developers and everyone else.

Or, he could have written a strongly worded Letter to Bill Clinton.

That’s all I’ve got. Feel free to add to the list.

I caught most of Rush’s show today, and I have never disagreed with him to the extent that I did today.

That concept that JFK’s assassination brought in the modern-day Left is laughable.

Jake Tapper (?) trying to draw a correlation between 911 and Benghazi as far as responsibility, although I missed it, sounds like a reporter trying to fill up time with a snarky question. The fact that Bush did not put it to rest ( I heard his response) was not that it was a valid comparison but because Bush is not very smart at all.

Anyway, Rush magnified it out of all logic. Hillary’s responsibility lies in dereliction of duty, at the very least. Benghazi lasted for hours, with time for a response, that Hillary dithered away and then covered up. Benghazi is more analogous to Watergate.

The guy was only on every network as an expert for years trashing W. Parlayed it into a paying gig on ABC. If you do not know, and were born in the 90’s, then you have an excuse. If you were an adult during these times, and did not known, then you my friend are the very definition of low information.

This is the first thing Trump's done that I don't like.

GWB got totally non-specific warnings... probably got them every day. "terrorists want to blow up trains, stadiums, terorists want to crash planes.... terrorists want to take over ocean liners, trucks, etc.".

What was GWB supposed to do on all these warnings... put the entire country on lock-down... no planes, no trains, no ships, no sporting events, no shopping malls, etc.?

Jeb Bush, Jr. aka Jebby

“This past Thanksgiving, we all got together in Mexico, which was a fantastic time — with all the grandkids and the whole family — and we had a candid conversation,” Jeb Bush Jr. said. “It came up a little bit that dad was seriously considering it and, you know, we love him so we’re all in for him.”

The fact that the gathering took place in Mexico might have been especially appropriate for Jeb Bush Sr. who decades earlier had another life-changing experience there. While on a high school exchange program, he met the daughter of a farmer named Columba who would eventually become his wife.

I voted for Bush twice. I have voted R every election since 1984. Sometimes willingly, sometimes grudgingly.

GWB was not a good president. He was OK at best. His legacy is war, surveillance and bank bailouts. Sure he “kept us safe”, but the cost was very high.

The last 3 presidents have been horrible for this country by any reasonable assessment.

Enough Bushes, Clintons and Obamas. To the ash heap of history with them. It’s time for something new.

Go Trump.

Oh shut up! You are so stupid, and I’m done talking with such a stupid person. Your p;posts are ridiculous and juvenile, so I am responding to you with that criteria in mind. You are stupid! I’ve finally figured out what your problem is - the fact that you mention Trump’s money so often tells me that you are one jealous little pipsqueak. Nearly every post mentions money, so this is the bottom line. Go get a job and shut up!
