An unpublished UCLA study challenging the societal “born this way” dogma of homosexuality has already been gaining traction in the public media since its presentation at an annual scientific conference last week.
The twin study conducted at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, finds that homosexuality may be triggered by environmental factors after birth. The research uses an algorithm covering epigenetic markers from several genomic sites of 37 sets of identical male twins to predict homosexuality in males, with 70 percent accuracy, as presented at the American Society of Human Genetics 2015 Annual Meeting in Baltimore.
“The finding is highly controversial because it suggests that some men are not born gay, but are turned homosexual by their surroundings,” Sarah Knapton of Telegraph suggested.

Does that mean that kids raised by gay parents or who have been unfortunately abused are more prone to becoming gay?

Yeah, it really does. And more likely than not, there will never be evidence of a gay gene (unless studies are highly falsified like they are with climate change analysis).
As we’ve known since the beginning of time, a baby boy or girl does not develop in the womb with a gene that tells them to be attracted to the opposite sex.
Why liberals still push the lie that people are “born this way” makes little sense, but because so many Americans are uninformed on the issues, they go along with whatever Hollywood celebrities and the mainstream media tell them to.

The whole issue of a “gay gene” is meaningless. Whether same-sex attraction is caused by a gene, or hormones, or trauma, or targeted radiation beams from flying saucers makes absolutely no difference.
What the Catholic Church teaches—and all Christians once believed—is that all deliberate seeking of venereal pleasure is grave matter, except in mutual acts between husband and wife which are in themselves capable of transmitting life.
Those who insist that the issue is that “people choose homosexuality”—IF they mean that people with same-sex attraction choose to have same-sex attraction—are creating a distraction, and undermining Christian moral teaching.
Because: Those who HAVE same-sex attraction know that such people are fools. If Christian moral teaching DEPENDS on the notion that SSA is CHOSEN, then those who know they DID NOT CHOOSE IT are perfectly entitled to reject Christian moral teaching. In fact, that is a principal reason that so many DO reject Christian moral teaching—because they THINK the Christian view is that they chose to have SSA.
At best, heterosexuals are 90% of the population. I am sure that that 90% is having more anal sex than the 10% of homosexuals are. If it was just anal sex causing health issues, straight women would have a higher rate than gay men.
It’s ‘out there’ because mentally ill persons, assisted by well meaning family members and leftists with agendas ensured it would spread far and wide.
Today, gays give blood and directly infect the blood supply, which then costs money to cleanse/weed out, simply so they can ‘feel good’ about their mental illness.

SSA is nothing more than one more method by which a person is willing and/or ready to relieve an urge for sexual release.
Homosexuals are probably just 3% of the population, but even then I wouldn’t bet that there is more heterosexual anal sex. It is unnatural, painful, and women resent it.

There are many, many heterosexuals having anal sex with each other. Same with oral. It is common.

Oral is common among heterosexuals. Anal is not. Only in porn.

Only two groups of people do that. Homosexuals and prostitutes, many of whom are gay.
Promiscuity is a behavior issue. When one is so out of control of their survival instinct that blowing anonymous men in a toilet has entire networks on the web devoted to ease of access, you have some seriously mentally ill people.

Actually he’s right about that. Talk to people outside the religious/conservative arena and they have no issue telling you what sex, how often and with what species. Oral/anal is common today. Probably always was, it’s just that most people didn’t discuss what they did in their bedrooms.
There's also this third matter of epigenetic tags (which they provides them with a 70% accurate way to predict who will be gay or straight). And maybe other unchosen environmental factors, too, besides epigenetic tags. Several have mentioned being sexually abused as a child or a youth.
These may result in lifelong, persistent, fairly unchanging attraction and arousal patterns which are highly resistant to modification.
The only moral solution to the person so affected, is to "avoid sin, and the near occasions of sin." In other words, don't DO IT and don't subject yourself to the people, places, situations or thought/fantasy patterns that would easily lead you into DOING IT.
Which is exactly what "straight" people have to do, too, to avoid sexual sin.
