Eugenio Pacelli (the future Pope Pius XII) was tha Papal Nuncio to Germany starting in the 20's. He had taken to making statements against Hitler/Naszis, long before anyone thought they had a chance to take control.
Later, when Pacelli was Secretary of State for the Vatican,. he convinced Pius XI to release an encyclical called Mit Brennender Sorge. Encyclicals are released in Latin, this one was re;leased in German. Hmmm, I wonder why? Maybe because it was specifically opposing Nazism?
Anyone who actually did basic research into the events of the 20s and 30s would know Pacelli and Hitler were enemies before the Nazi Party was even a political force in Germany.
Additionally, Pacelli helped draft “With Burning Sorrow”
