I’m not a fan of making prostitution a major effort of law enforcement especially when we a country full of illegals and much worse violent crime.

The question needs asked, when the news has photos of those involved in illegal activity there seems to be a common denominator of the perps, and it rarely involves the Amish. Why is it considered racist by some to even ask?

The prosecution for prostiution is --- it might be argued --- significant in the larger LE picture, via the "broken windowns" hypothesis. When you bust somebody for prostitution(an easy bust) you are simultaneously getting drug addicts, burglars and assailants off the streets, because these are the same people

Bust a guy that merely jumps a subway turnstile, and you've probably get you a guy with a crime list a yard long,"violent" as well as "nonviolent", who would never otherwise have been caught, convicted, or jailed for anything.

and, as the word gets out that "they'll bust you for anything," young would-be toughs may chill, waiting for things to calm down, and thus do not get involved in crime to begin with.
