Americans are too “married” to their cellphones and dedicated to spending every waking minute with the things stuck in their ears , flapping their pieholes to pay enough attention not to fall into an open manhole in the street to even notice the jihadist knife at their throats. (Another of Twinkie’s “paragraph sentences” that still fails to convey the true tragedy of this revolting development!)

You are absolutely correct about most people being unaware of their prevailing situations.

If taken hostage by radicalized Islamic jihadists...most Americans would make that their Facebook update: "Taken hostage by Muslim terrorists. LOL."
Within an hour, over one hundred of their friends would "like" the post.

The proverbial wolf is literally at the door. Decent people are living in very precarious times.
