Actually, only fifteen months left of Obama. The national calamity is slowly coming to any end. If we had any leadership in Congress, they'd begin blocking some of his final year BS. I'm waiting for him to try to return Gitmo to Cuba, which was one of Raul Castro's demands.

The Democrat majority in Congress during the last two years of George W. Bush effectively eliminated Bush from the political process. Pelosi and Reid passed the legislation they wanted and Bush signed most of it. In Bush’s last year in office he cast only 4 vetoes and 3 were overridden by the Democrat Congress.
Most of today’s GOP leaders in the House and Senate today served in that last year of the Bush presidency. If they were paying attention, they know how to block the president. Plosives and Reid demonstrated the truth in the old adage, “when there is a will there is a way”. Interesting the “independents voters” the GOPe doesn’t want to offend with partisanship rewarded Pelosi and Reid’s highly partisan behavior with an even larger majority in the 2008 elections.
There is no leadership in the GOP Congress and there is no will to fight for anything except perks and very narrow corporate interests.
