A prominent student activist at Oxford University has resigned from a number of societies after admitting she had non-consensual sex with someone. Annie Teriba, a third-year student at Wadham college, said she failed to establish consent during sex with someone she met the NUS Black Students Conference. According to student newspapers Cherwell and The Oxford Student, Teriba wrote a statement on her Facebook profile which has since been deleted.

Since it is a woman and a lesbian, they call it “non-consensual sex”. If it was a straight man, it would be called “rape”.
Rape is such a harsh, cruel word, though.

Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t conceive of having “non-consensual sex” any more than I can conceive of sending a text as I’m zooming down a highway at 75 MPH.
I mean, the sheer mechanics of it are mind-boggling.

Yep. He was removed from the school and the country. Rape charges were not pursued because of how bad it would look that there was a Rhodes Scholar rapist

I’m completely unfamiliar with UK law. Is rape legal there? Shouldn’t someone admitting they raped someone get brought up on criminal charges?
