House Speaker John Boehner is signaling that he’ll move must-do legislation to increase the government’s borrowing cap before he leaves Capitol Hill.

The statutory cap on the government’s so-called debt limit needs to be raised by early November, the Congressional Budget Office said Wednesday, confirming a recent warning from the administration.

Boehner himself has said that he doesn’t want to leave a “dirty barn” for his successor, comments that have been widely interpreted as a promise that he would try to at least clear away the debt limit issue rather than saddle the next speaker with the task. …

Bring back jobs to America, how? Be specific, Moby.

They can still make the motion to vacate.

I’m thinking we will likely implement some sort of relative trade barrier on other countries, based on how abusive their (the other countries) are in global trade.

In about a year and a half, I would say.

So if China or Mexico are running huge trade surpluses with America, we enact tariffs on those countries based on the amount of trade inbalance. For China and Mexico it would be large.

For other countries, there may be no tariffs.

I think that is the approach to take. And I think that is the sort of thing Trump has in mind.

I’m not sure of him, but that is what I believe.

America needs, to look out for America for a change.

Tariffs are the only reforms needed to bring back American jobs? Who specifically benefits from tariffs?

And tax reform.

That is also important. Bring back investment by making it less expensive to do business here.

But most important is serious tariffs on countries which abuse world trade.

That is most important. We need to protect America first.

How about stop always finding reasons to send businesses overseas.

Bring them back.

Just bring them back, to America.

How about stop always finding reasons to send businesses overseas.

Let's be reasonable. What are the reasons to send businesses overseas?

That group is a pressure relief valve just like the rest of the GOP. They exist to string folks along ‘just a little longer’.

Bhoner is still there. And they found a way to keep him there while making people think they nailed him to a wall. Is jonbon doing what jonbon always does? Yes. Will/is he helping Obama? Yes. Will the playactors say “Well we tried” without actually mussing their hair? Yes.

Same song, different chorus. Same radio personalities giving their audiences raw meat for book sales/listenership. Same outcome as if none of this had been done.

Except the voters are appeased because ‘well, we tried...’

Had people LISTENED when some of us said “Don’t elect lesser evils”, Bhoner and Mitch would not be there assisting Obama forward his agenda and the playactors in this Kabuki would not be there covering their asses. Hamilton was correct. Better an enemy in their camp than yours/ours.

I was on a UKIP kick earlier this year and Nigel Farage started a new party outside the fake “Conservative” one in his country.

That has to be a better route than watching this nonsense and pretense continue.

I said it earlier this year and like I said then I still await the emergence of new sober sane third party.

People have to face reality with the GOP. They are the problem. There will be no ‘fixing’ the gop when all these voters keep electing the same liberals who in turn hire the same liberal staff who in turn get the funding from liberal moneymen.

It is a corrupt powerbloc top to bottem and must be left behind. Destroying it is simple. Stop voting for their candidates. Then they get no money and simply dissolve.

The issue is that people are to cowardly to take the cycle or two at most of pain. They like children want it all free and easy. Or more aptly, like LIBERALS.

If people had listened years ago, today we would have that new party, solid and secure. But we were the idiots. Not them.

Funny how that works. Well, I’m far from being a lone voice. Plenty of us here and elsewhere said it. And as usual, we were right. Not because we’re political savants. We were right because we didn’t lie to ourselves. If that pisses people off, I’m good with it.

Canada survived its ‘third party’ period when the Liberals were the only game in town for a decade.

The tragedy is that the old elite came in and took over the new “Conservative Party of Canada” that emerged from that period.

Their failure to be ‘conservative’ will be their undoing in the election on Monday.
