I sold a third of my stock portfolio after obama won in Iowa over hillary, then I sold everything else when he won the presidency. Saved so much of my net worth with those moves.
Consider yourself and your family fortunate, but please pray for the millions who are less fortunate. I know too many who are less fortunate but would like to work their way out of it, sadly with no good results.
I’m not saying those in the Great Depression were lacking in distractions, but they had nowhere near the amount of distractions we have nowadays: mobile phones, youtube videos, hundreds of cable channels, twitter, instagram, laptops, tablets, yada yada yada...
I know. It is a shame that the government can’t work together to fix this. I mean less taxes, less government regulations, so much could be done but nobody wants to do anything.
I have a friend who just moved to your great state of Texas. Somewhere near Wichita Falls. He like it and loves the people.
My mother was born near Lubbock.
Yes, Rush has been great for all of us and great for America.
Depression?
Please read what Rush said again.
We must all count our blessings and be grateful to God.
Something tells me the PTBs forsee how we and they are all screwed, and they’re just getting theirs before it all comes tumbling down. They act like they have no optimism in people and the future. It’s one reason why I am enjoying Trump’s campaign: He is daring to be optimistic.
Well of course. But I don’t raise my family to believe in doom and gloom especially when it is not valid. Life is fantastic and constant negativity is not healthy for anybody.
I do like his optimism. Too much doom and gloom when not reality is not good.
Thanks for the data and link.
While Rats generally and Omumba in particular have exacerbated the situation the trend is likely more secular than that. So many classes of jobs have been eliminated by technology - I won’t list them all. People have been predicting for a very long time that there would less need for labor as technology marches on. Of course to some degree new jobs replace old ones but I think we’re long past the point where it’s a one for one exchange. Undoubtedly Rat policies have put millions out of work and kept millions more from coming back but the problem is not purely one of policy I don’t think.
it has more to do with the fact that we have lost our voting rights and the crooked elitist have got control of the worthless rabble and there is no stopping them...
"people" voted for this....these are the people I fear....
Rush is right, of course.
He should add that the reason the kids don’t know it is that the press has become so corrupt that they never tell the truth anymore.
And Obama.... fuggedaboutit.
What is the definition of a depression? In economics class they will tell you a long period of depressed growth. When’s the last time the economy grew at above 3 percent? We are growing half of that. There are 4 million people who lost their jobs in late 2008 and 2009 and haven’t been able to get back in their careers and make decent money. I know a a few and until the last year I couldn’t get a look by anybody. RECRUITERS TREAT YOU LIKE YOU HAVE EBOLA! I worked odd jobs to survive, traded stocks....my ex wife wouldn’t let me see my son..I know many..and I’m educated..but I worked in technology..once your out of work your skills are gone.. New software.,etc..and now your uP against all the HIb visas which companies are giving out like candy
ANd if you don’t and got through it your lucky....or have your head in the the sand. This post is a reply to everybody not just one person.
This economy is nowhere where it should be ..and its planned this way by the leftist elitist so..they want more depression and depressed growth..
The mile nails just accept this is the way it is...and its disgusting they don’t look at their leftist hero and give him any blame..but they just think this pathetic economy is just the way it is..
And if if Hillary is elected..we will have a currency collapse..then you will see the riots..it may be too late anyway
I don’t assume young people don’t know something’s wrong; they certainly know there is limited opportunity for them. Every day they watch TV shows and commercials showing a standard of living and products they will never afford. Buying a home, new car, or having a family are beyond their reach - and they obviously know it because it flows through the statistics. Nobody is building homes in my area anymore (with the exception of hives for childless couple); my town recently faced a real setback when there weren’t funds available to build a dog park (for the last generation of “Americans”...
Bookmarked!
Thanks for posting this!
My thoughts, exactly.
But we must not dismiss reality and what others are experiencing.
I now a liberal who only sits up and takes notice when something affects him negatively. I told him he is very selfish.
I’m glad things are going well for your family but I would hate to be a young person starting out today. There are plenty of people still living off their parents at an age when many of my generation were celebrating their first grandchild. Yes, in reality this country is in worse shape than during the thirties, we just don’t want to admit it.
