I'm all in favor of releasing violent criminals.

Through a trap door with a noose around their necks. We should do it often and rinse and repeat as necessary.

Ft. Smith transformed itself from a wild, dangerous outlaw town into a nice little town of handsome framed homes, businesses and church goers in a mere 15 years with this formula.

That is only part of the problem. No one wants prisons in their counties.

Repeat violent offenders need to be eliminated, as well as those who have been convicted of murder, rape of a child. These are people of the Manson ilk who are sociopaths and cannot be cured.

You have 2 choices live in prison with not parole with only 1 hour a day of freedom to take care of personal hygiene or the death penalty. Control the access to exercise equipment so they can’t bulk up.

Or you could build massive prisons in the middle of Death Valley or on deserted islands surrounded by sharks that states could use for a fee. Alcatraz worked so well because of where it was located.
