Turkey supports Saudi Arabia against Assad because the natural gas pipeline to Europe goes through Syria...and then through Turkey. The Turks get a piece of the Saudi action ($$$$$) if Assad is gone.
If Assad goes, Qatar will build gas pipeline directly to Turkey, undermining #Gazprom according to @GazetaRu So that’s what it’s all about.
