I enjoyed learning to use WebTV. Nobody in my household thought I could learn to use a computer, particularly my cherished husband, DrO, who hated “those machines!” He hated it and was appalled when his partners in his medical office out-voted him and the practice went to computers...LOL. Then when I had sort of mastered my computer, he was happy, because he would bring home some “non-confidential” stuff for me to do for him on my computer. LOLOLOL.

Your memory is almost always, if not always more accurate than mine so you’re likely right it was about Bush instead of Linda Tripp but I do recall a “yuge” uproar over Linda Tripp and who should get the credit for her etc. A power play.
I do remember those days when HTML code was mandatory. Mistakes and mischief finally made Jim ask John to change the programing so that it was no longer mandatory and so that some of the thread crashing problems would go away.
Those were the days when you had to work hard just to figure out how to post what you wanted.
I remember a huge Hayek chapter that I just ended up typing out by hand with all the formatting added just because I wanted to discuss it. It took me hours to type it in.
#40 It was a clay tablet with 4k ram memory...
I can’t remember the device I was using at that time, but it wasn’t a computer. I hope someone can name it for me.
How many posting here have been kicked out of Lucianne website? I was for posting an article about a man being saved that was trapped underwater. My crime was the title was too long.... Yep too long. My account was blocked. I do not go the site anymore as Free Republic has so many more news articles to read.

I waited until I had a computer and I think by that time only html necessary was for paragraphs and the posting of photos etc.
