Yes, ISIS is doing those things. The Kurds are not. Most of the groups in the FSA are not Islamists group. Critical distinctions matter. Not all people fighting the Nazis were Americans. Not all people fighting the Nazis were Communists either from the Soviet Union or from underground movements, say, in France. Stark religious and political difference existed during WWII, then, and they exist today in Syria's opposition to Assad.
