She is still burdened w/ America's disdain for her predecessor.... just as a percentage of voters judged Al Gore by the sins of Bill Clinton. Gore famously said he would have won the tight race but Bill Clinton getting lewinskied in the Oval Office was a huge turnoff for some voters.
