The federal Bureau of Prisons, a subdivision of President Barack Obama's Justice Department, has banished all pork products from the menus in all federal prisons ...
The government says it made the decision to do this because a survey showed that inmates do not like eating pork products.
The Council on American-Islamic relations said “we welcome” the move by the government to deny pork to prisoners, but warned that it might spark “Islamophobia.”

“The National Pork Producers Council isn’t buying it. 'I find it hard to believe that a survey would have found a majority of any population saying, ‘No thanks, I don’t want any bacon,'” said Dave Warner, a spokesman for the Washington-based trade association, which represents the nation’s hog farmers.
CAIR told the Post that banning pork in federal prisons would accommodate Muslim prisoners:

We begged and threatened one of the Vets to let us have some pork ribs once and it was heaven.

I rarely eat pork. It aggravates my arthritis. That and shrimp & all shellfish. Ouchy joints! - The last two shrimp I ate, I had a theobromine sick headache that wouldn’t quit! I finally got all that out of my system with chocolate; but still can’t have much chocolate. More theobromine headaches. This is a revolting development of later years. Wasn’t that way when I was a kid.
Why not put all the Muzzies in one prison? They could start a pig farm surrounding it to make sure no one would try to escape.
Prisons are too soft anyway. Feed them Purina and water. Maybe they would think twice about going back the 2nd time.

Prison is supposed to be a resort hotel for career criminals on vacation from their regular jobs.
Would you stay at a hotel with only bread and water on the menu?
That would be gruel and unusual pun-ishment.
Went to the BOP site, looked at the food regs..
Apparently since June, all the meals are kosher.
I did not see any pork products..so they simply went to a Kosher diet.
Which coincidently appeases the Islamic diet as well..
I am 100% sure that those meals are not kosher.
Kosher meat? Kosher cheese? No mix or meat and dairy at the same meal? Kosher supervision of the kitchen, supplies and utensils? I bet not...
I have no idea what a true Kosher experience is...but the government version is here.

It seems that the government makes every effort now to serve a Kosher meal, although it’s obvious they don’t go to extremes.
They serve kosher meals to the very small number who request and are qualified to receive them, not to the general population.
Maybe I misunderstood what you were claiming.
