The heart of God is holiness, justice and love of His elect. Christ came to be a propitiation, that is to appease divine wrath, but on His next visit He comes to with a sword in His mouth to judge the nations and to cast the unregenerate into the eternal fire. So it is overly simplistic to say the heart of God is love, because it occludes the holiness and judgement of God. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, Jesus is not some cosmic boyfriend, but the ruler and judge of all creation. Kiss the Son lest you perish in the way when His wrath is kindled but a little. Ps 2
