Few to none of us will even let our minds go to the place that our Founders recognized was absolutely necessary in order to preserve their faith and liberty.
Few to none of us will even allow ourselves to understand the historical reality that you cannot stop tyranny via civil means.
And tyranny did not happen in a vacuum by itself. It happened because so few were willing to call it what it was, and put a stop to it when the cost would have been much, much less than it will cost now, if liberty itself is even remotely salvageable in this nation, which I doubt because even among Conservatives, we cannot agree on what the definition of Liberty actually is.
Like all Republics before us - we thought ourselves impervious to ruin, but rotted from within until we too - committed suicide.
The hard and cold reality that now exists that few are willing to look at.
We're so exhausted trying to get over today's outrageous forays into overt despotism, that come tomorrow's offering of tyranny or mind-blowing event - we might not even recognize it due how numb and indifferent we've grown.
