Absolutely true, but I’m sure all of these criminals with illegal guns will be more than happy to comply with Obama’s new laws. To a very large extent, more laws - of any type - have little to no effect on criminals. Murder, possession of fully-automatic weapons without a Class III FFL, trafficking in drugs, etc., are already illegal. New laws do, however, have an effect on (previously) law-abiding citizens. They make more criminals.
