Is this good or bad news? Good that McCarthy didn’t have enough votes, but hearing rumors that Boehner will stay in until he forces them to raise debt ceiling.

Probably good news since Boehner was angry.
But it may turn out to be a case of “better the devil you know”.
I doubt Boehner will stay. He would need Dem votes to do so.
