No, some installations are abandoned because the IS are fleeing, surrendering and being killed

But it is too early yet to start toting up ground gains

Give Putin at least a few more weeks!

Putin ordered the deployment of 'Spetsnaz' unit to root out and 'eliminate packs of fleeing jihadis'.....the Spetsnaz is the elite of the elite in Russia's army.... significant because many of the men have a deep hatred of jihadis....

These guys are experts in 'hand to hand contact' and deadly.....they took out over 100 Jihadi "Leaders" in one conflict....you'll never see them coming.....They are actually "farmed out" to other nations for special missions.

I did a bit of research on Spetsnaz sometime back.......you do not want to tangle with them under any circumstances. The only rules of engagement are the ones they make...period...and this generally means getting the job done by whatever means is necessary.

Putin knows the viciousness of jihadists......they will more than meet their match with Spetsnaz who have a particular hatred toward jihadists.

Those who know about Spetsnaz, when heard Putin called them out, said "This is now the end of ISIS'.....they be running!
