I am gettng the impression Saudi is starting to show internal political weakness , signs of which would not normally be apparent to outsiders

Their new King was just hospitalized for dementia so the royal family is squabbling over replacement
There is still blowback to come from the countries whose citizens were killed or missing in the 5,000 person HAJJ death crush ... Iran is threatening war .... 28 Saudis were beheaded as responsible but whispers say the crush was caused by a Saudi Royal and his entourage
The Saudis are indiscriminately bombing Yemenis with no reproach and the Iranians are re supplying the rebels so yet another pricy war between Saudi and Iran ( both now US “ allies”) and there are thousands of Shia in eastern Saudi
ISIS in Yemen just killed a bunch of people in a car bombing so who is backing ISIS in Yemen and why?

I guess the question is whether Saudi is the major driver of our regional policy, or it is Turkey
Which is also beset with internal issues including its own President

My impression is that the not very stealthy Saudi jihad against the West comes from Saudi royals, but not the titular ruler. That probably won’t change.

Turkey’s main utility is to drag NATO in to back up their malignant deeds and designs.

NATO has long outlived its usefulness and has become what it was meant to oppose. It should be dissolved.
