Not an unreasonable assumption given that the group that took part in the Benghazi Embassy attack was an Egyptian based, Muslim Brotherhood splinter group know as the “The Brigades of the Imprisoned Sheikh Omar Abdul Rahman” who is also better known in America as ,”The Blind Sheik” . These guys were mostly Egyptian national, Radical Jihadi fanatics who idolized the Blind Sheik and have dedicated their lives to getting him released.

This, combined with Obama’s multiple and emphatic orders to the Navy Seals and CIA agents to stand down and not go to the aid of an American Ambassador and US Embassy under attack not more than a mile away and then trying to call them off once they disobeyed Obama’s orders to the Seals to allow the Jihadi to over run the Embassy compound without a fight and to allow Amb. Stevens to and fall into the hands of the Abdul Rahman Brigade without resistance and after the Seals went to defend the Embassy Compound, Obama not only refused to send help - Obama countermanded the orders from the Admiral in charge of the American Naval Task Force responsible for the Libyan theater of operation, and then reportedly had the Admiral physically arrested and undisputedly had the Admiral removed from command on the spot.

In many ways, Obama’s orders to the well armed Seal and CIA agents to stand down and allow an American Ambassador and Embassy not less than a mile away be attacked and over run and then Obama’s second set of repeated direct orders to abandon the Embassy and it's staff, including , for gosh sakes, the American Ambassador himself when the agents once they disregarded their orders and went anyway is the clincher.

Both the Seals and the CIA agents were highly trained and heavily armed elite Special Forces Alums and there were enough of them at the CIA annex at the onset of the attack that they were not heavily out numbered by the relatively small band of not very competent attacking Jihadi, so they actually were in a very good position to successfully defend the Compound and fight off the attack - especially with the American drone presence to coordinate the attack and provide air support

The only possible explanation for an American President intentionally abandoning an American Embassy to attack and allowing it to be over run and a allowing a sitting American Ambassador to be either killed or captured and held prisoner by Radical Jihadi is because he wanted it to happen.

Then ordering heavy armed, elite Tier One Special Forces numbering something like at least 7-10 soldiers ( the Seals who stayed and fought were retired and were actually civilian contractors not formally subject to Obama’s orders, the much larger non civilian CIA Staff assisted in the evacuation of the staff but obeyed orders and did not stay to defend the compound) facing 20-30 lightly armed and not very competent Jihadi irregulars to stand down and literally watch while an American Ambassador was killed or captured and an American Embassy over run without a fight just incompressible and goes a long way to confirm suspicions that the attack was a staged event which Obama had prior knowledge to and to which Obama was a potential co- conspirator.

In fact, if rumors of the size of the CIA Annex staff and the number of Jihadi in the original first assault are true, at the onset of the attack, the pool of heavily armed ( with literally a boatload American heavy weaponry due for transfer to a Turkish cargo ship for shipment to Syria rebels the next day) and well trained American defenders was not highly outnumbered and may actually have been numerically superior to the number of attacking Jihadi at the start of the attack.

Our guys at the CIA annex were fully capable of breaking up the Embassy attack and saving the Ambassador and the rest of the Embassy staff if they had been allowed to go to it's defense and with the drones in the area for air support they could have held the Embassy until relieved by troops from Italy or the aircraft carrier off the coast.
