No way you can “dis-arm” Russia. You could send F-18s to shoot them down—maybe sink some Russian ships—But What happens then? WW III? Remember those Russian Bears off our coasts? They will return with stand off Rockets. Want to lose a few cities? That will not stop global warming? It will not help the Inner Cities? Do we want to fight China? Who would be on our side? Canada? It would be the end of America.
I have come to the conclusion that the government tit, party hack, establishment ideologue types actually -do- want to initiate a large scale war. I don’t even think they particularly care who the ‘enemy’ might be. They lust for a war. If they get one, I hope they are accordingly tried and hanged for the Nuremburg offense of ‘waging aggressive warfare’. That would be the only good thing to come of such a meaningless adventure.
