How about a database of retired brain plumbers
that believe that Americans don’t have a [rigkt] to
semi-auto firearms in “high-crime” areas...
I know of one for the list.
He should NOT even be in the cabinet which would put him in line of succession to the presidency.

Carson could do this and as soon as the Dems are back in power then every Christian, anti-abortion protester, veteran and NRA member would go straight on that database as a dangerous person. Didn’t we learn anything from the Patriot Act? This is why I can’t support Carson. As much as he tries to walk it back or hide it his gun grabbing character keeps shining through.

From the article
The proposal he raised is a primary step advocated by gun-rights organizations, like the National Rife Association, to help prevent mass shootings.

Why is this clueless lout even in the race?

I guess since the NRA purposed the same thing they are “incredibly naive” to?

Most shrinks view wanting to own a gun as evidence you might be a mass murderer.

Anytime a new government program is considered, one of my first concerns is the potential for abuse.
As we have seen in the last few years any government agency can and will be used against you by the Washington establishment.

So are you resigning from the NRA too since they purposed the exact same thing?

His thinking has been infected by popular left wing culture and he can’t seem to unload it all at once. He’s hopeless.

Young men, approximately aged 16 - 29 and DAD IS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. White adolescents seem to like Nazis; black kids seem to like ISIS.

The article is wrong. The NRA has never proposed any such thing. Their focus is on ending gun free zones.

It will end up being a database of people that are considered a threat to oppressive government.

Ben, with all due respect, how would that be accomplished? Do potential mass killers sign up?

No thanks... Federal databases are rife with failure. The National Terror Watch List is one prime example.

Actually, the 2nd Amd, being absolute does not make exceptions for mentally unstable people so long as unstable people are people. The only exceptions could be under the involuntary servitude provision of the 13th amendment, in other words incarcerated prisoners, maybe.
