The 80s classic Back to the Future Part II isnt just one of the greatest sequels of all time. It was also a visual feast for the eyes that gave us an (exciting) peek at what 2015 MIGHT look like.
But the movie also left us wanting a few things that we hoped would be available by 2015, like Martys bad-ass Nike self-lacing sneakers
the iconic AF hoverboard
and of course, the oh-so-cool looking Pepsi Perfect bottle.
Well, Pepsi finally delivered and created Pepsi Perfect!!!
According to USA Today, the limited-edition Pepsi Perfect (which is Pepsi made with REAL sugar) will be released online on Oct. 21 (aka *Back to the Future day) and set you back $20.15.
(*Back to the Future day is October 21, 2015, the date that Marty, Doc, and Jennifer arrived in 2015 in the film.)
Pepsi even released aesthetically perfect commercial to celebrate the release:
The only thing I have to say is: Your move, Pizza Hut. I want my dehydrated pizza!!!
Corn (syrup) growers are not pleased.
“Think about THAT when next time you put their brown liquid in your mouth.”
Drinking Pepsi would make them “swallowers”, I guess.
;-)
At 20 dollars per, you can have it. I have to admit though, this is a really slick way to center the product int he public eye ... for fifteen minutes of fame but not likely to switch any from RC or Coke, or even Sam’s Cola.
Leads me to wonder if there are any people my age in the future.
Is it going to come in rainbow colors guyssssssssssssssssss?
Yes enough people are gullible to swallow this.
I'm ok with that. I look at how average people drive in two dimensions, and if I extrapolate that to three dimensions, the results are terrifying.
You can get Pepsi made with real sugar around here. You just need to go to the WalMarts that have a lot of Mexican shoppers. They originally sold it as Pepsi throwback with their old logo, but now just sell it with the regular logo and print 'made with Real Sugar' on the box. They also sell Mountain Dew. Same prices as their regular soft drinks.
I was trying to paint a picture.
A gross fecal-related picture.
Around here, they’ve started putting the sugar Pepsis in regular boxes, and dropped the price to match the HFCS versions. Dr Pepper is doing the same. Coke, on the other hand, is still charging superpremium prices for the Mexican Cokes.
I grew up on Coke, but in Obama's economy, I've switched to the sugar Pepsis at $3 a 12 pack on sale.
We have little drones with cameras for $40.
My daughter designed the bottle. Couldn’t talk about it for months.
Astoundingly the Cubs still have a shot at the World Series.
I just heard that on Sirius XM Boneyard the other day. Haven’t heard any Suicidal Tendencies in awhile.
Only til tomorrow night!

May it go over like NEW COKE.
**People who try to envision the future always get it wrong.***
I saw an old movie short made around 1943 urging people to buy War Bonds. It was told from an unrealistic 1952 position looking back. It was so interesting to see how so many can get the future wrong.
Anyone remember 1968 when the soda companies came up with a self cooling can of soda? In a 12 oz can of soda, one oz of Freon would be released when you opened the can causing instant cooling. It did not go over as no one wanted to lose one oz of soda to the atmosphere.
That was before the worry about the Ozone and before the EPA.
