Germany is facing an influx of 1.5 million refugees this year, almost twice the official estimate, leaked government figures say as the EU struggles to find a solution to the migrant crisis.
The German authorities expect 920,000 new asylum-seekers to arrive in the country between October and December alone, according to the previously classified figures.
With each migrant having an estimated four to eight family members that could be permitted to enter, the total number resettled could ultimately top seven million.
The figure is drastically higher than the official estimate, that Germany will host 800,000 asylum-seekers this year, and could lead to further pressure on Angela Merkel over her refugee policy.
It will also shock EU leaders, some of whom have criticised Germany’s willingness to accept large numbers of refugees who they say could eventually end up in other countries under freedom of movement rules.
But the EU is also meanwhile discussing a proposal to offer another half a million Syrians asylum in Europe by airlifting them direct from Turkey, in a bid to stem the flow of refugees risking their lives making the dangerous sea crossing to Greece and Italy.
That is thought to be among the ideas put forward as part of a package of measures to encourage President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey, who met EU leaders in Brussels yesterday, to tighten border controls.

Thousands of people took to the streets in eastern Germany to protest against the influx over the weekend, and a refugee shelter was set on fire in the latest in a series of arson attacks.
Some 2,500 people formed a “living border” in Sebnitz, on the border with the Czech Republic.
But Mrs Merkel remained defiant, insisting that Germany could cope. “I would make the same decision again, that’s what matters,” she told DLF radio when asked about her announcement on September 4 that Germany would take in tens of thousands of refugees who were stranded in Hungary at the time.
I hope they tar and feather Merkel and run her out. That is outrageous. Most of the ‘immigrants’ are ILLITERATE!!! How in the HELL is that going to help the economy?
Angela Merkel better plan her burka wardrobe. When Muslims come into a country, they multiply like roaches, and Sharia law becomes the law of the land.
That's the real reason the U.S. has uniform naturalization rules vested in the federal government.
The concern wasn't that some people wouldn't get in. It was what kind of people one state would naturalize who would then be free to walk into another state.
Europe with the Schengen agreement is now confronting that. At this point in history, that agreement may be scrapped as Germany goes overboard trying not to be Nazi Germany in its treatment of "refugees".
So the once vaunted EU will choke and collapse under the weight of their own liberal mistakes.

It makes one wonder what Obama and the NSA’s blackmail material on them is, must be heavy-duty stuff....maybe they’re also threatening another False-Flag ala the Paris train “incident” that not many people in Europe believed was a genuine incident, too staged, too convenient.
My thoughts are the EU and Merkel are being blackmailed into doing something that I think they actually disagree with, they know that this is not only a disaster economically but a very real danger.
The NSA were listening in to Merkel’s private phone, they were listening to the French and they were listening to the EU building in Brussels.
We go from six months ago where they all decided NOT to continue rescuing the hordes at sea, we go from Merkel saying multiculturism is a failure....to THIS....nobody will convince me that Obama and the NSA aren’t blackmailing these people.
I can’t decide if I feel sorry for the Germans or not. They need to run mURKEL out of the country, for sure.

It’s Obama’s plan. Merkel was showing independence, she went to Minsk and negotiated the Minsk agreement.
I remember the media said “the White House is furious with Berlin for not consulting them.”
Dear me, Washington Uber Alles, think they run the WORLD. So whenever ANYONE defies them, they must be punished.
Obama calls Merkel to congratulate her on the “refugees”. The reall phone call probably went like this:
“Now, remember WE control Europe, there’s no such thing as Europe, it’s a vassal, you’ll take the “refugees” or else either we’ll released the NSA stuff on you or we’ll make sure we tank your economy....oh just to give you a hint, we’ll mess up Volkswagen, we’ll put the EPA on them, so do as your told.”
Yes, that’s more like it, and they wonder why Europe and most of the world hates them.

It’s keeps the population on edge, which is what the Muslim hordes are designed to do.
A population on edge is easier to control.
Easier therefore for Washington to weaken and control Europe.
Washington’s fear Germany friends with Russia, Germany + Russia together, with all their business deals and the joint pipeline, plus getting closer = nightmare for Washington because that combination in business, intellectualism and military might would reduce Washington to the Fourth-Class League.
That $21 trillion debt....someone’s just waiting to cut Washington’s legs off, one of these days a trillion of that debt held by it’s creditors will be dumped on the open market, making 1929 look like a childs tea party, and then that’ll be the end of Washington’s bullying and thug behaviour.
Well I don’t think everything is staged. However, many in Europe believe the Paris train thing had all the hallmarks of a false-flag.
