Thanks Gogeo. I appreciate reading your thoughts on him.

In some ways I agree. In a few ways I don’t.

I would like to see him in the V.P. slot, so I’m not down on the guy in total. While I do see some negatives, my thoughts now are simply observations on his chances. if he should turn things around, I would be glad to see it.

I am not convinced he can win the nomination against Democrat and Moderate Republican voters.

I’m not that big of a Cruz fan. I won’t fight for him

No problem. I will not acknowledge Trump's right to exist.

I have and continue to stay open to real candidates. (not propped up insiders) However with Cruz crashing, supporters seem to have gone all Ron Paul. Those were REALLY annoying.

I also wonder how many are paid trolls for spoiler candidates.

Btw, why are so many Cruz supporters rude? Do they not know they are hurting their own candidate? Probably not; that level of analysis eludes them.

And Trump has leaned how to win friends and influence people? If he spent as much time bashing Hillary as he does conservatives, I might have some respect. But like you he is just flotsam on my shoe.

I started out for Cruz also. I’m most disappointed in his approach to the wide open borders/loss of sovereignty. When a country comes to the place where it treats foreign invaders far better than it treats its own vets, it’s indicative of an even larger problem.

I have yet to hear Cruz speak passionately about, for instance, the terrible toll illegal criminals, rapists, murderers, child molesters, etc., are taking on US citizens. He doesn’t even talk about deporting the worst criminal elements. Trump gets it. No wonder he’s in the lead.

‘I also wonder how many are paid trolls for spoiler candidates.’

This is a real possibility. There has been a lot of trollish behavior lately.

Exactly. Who are you going to believe? This one poll or your lying eyes? There’s no way Carson will win the nomination. He would be a totally ineffective as President.

Sometimes I think folks say stuff just to see if they can goad me.

You can do what you like as far as I am concerned.

My emphasis would be to herald what Trump is proposing.

I will agree I have not seen Cruz talk about the victims of illegal immigrant criminals. He may have, but I don’t follow him closely.

I agree. He’s too nice a person, and doesn’t impress me with his get down and dirty quotient (or more accurately lack thereof).

‘And Trump has leaned’

You’re confusing Trump with the other candidates. They lean; Trump stands on his own two feet.

Btw, you need a dictionary. ‘Flotsam’ does not mean what you think it does.

Agree, and normally I stick with explaining what it is that Trump is proposing that I like, and why. However, in mentioning I was formerly for Cruz, it’s necessary to note why I switched. Fwiw.

I am a fully reformed liberal.

That is from your page. I don't hold those Creds. I have always been a conservative. That is what I want in a candidate. I have seen too many pseudo-conservative supreme court candidates become liberals. I don't want to an elect a President of the same ilk.

Nothing to be sorry for. I couldn’t agree more that running down other people’s candidates is a mistake. Even Cruz agrees with us there, at least so far as Trump is concerned. It’s the best way to proceed.

The advantage of being a former liberal is that one recognizes liberalism from a mile or more away. That was why I got cold feet when Cruz went with Beck to the border and handed out teddy bears and soccer balls. That is a liberal response to a country-killing problem. No thanks.

Btw, Beck had announced that Mike Lee would join the teddy bear/soccer ball diplomacy hoopla on the wide open border. Lee’s office set him straight with the speed of summer lightning. Now that was a conservative response.

Yeah us poor conservatives have trouble recognizing a liberal. We need you former liberals to lead the way.

Not always or even often. Just every now and then, when candidate loyalty blurs your vision.
