Not always or even often. Just every now and then, when candidate loyalty blurs your vision. So Trump is the conservative and Cruz is the liberal? Thanks for your insight.

Your words, not mine. Go back and read my quote. I said former liberals can spot “liberalism” a mile away—and we can. But you and you alone are calling Cruz a “liberal.” I would never do so, but whatever floats your boat.

I am not convinced he can win the nomination against Democrat and Moderate Republican voters. Sadly, I'd have to agree. What's more, watching him talk to voters is kinda like watching a steam roller iron shirts.

That is a liberal response to a country-killing problem. No thanks.
Those are your responses not mine. Own them.

Cruz is a conservative who, when he addressed the foreign invader crisis with soccer balls and teddy bears, did indeed engage in a liberal response. That doesn’t make him a liberal. On the majority of issues he’s conservative. [I didn’t care for him backing Obama on the trade agreement—with a WSJ editorial, no less—and I don’t like his plan to issue vast #s of visas, or his refusal to use the word “deport.” But on everything else, so far as I know, he’s conservative.] It’s just that the wide open border is a serious, country-killing issue, and of all the times to engage in a liberal activity, this was the worst.

I’m sure Carson is a nice person and a skilled neurosurgeon. How ANY voter could think that would make him a good POTUS is completely beyond me.
Our issues are monumental, and this ship isn’t going to be easy to turn around, to put it mildly. We need someone with a huge amount of organizational and leadership skill to lead us out of it. Being a nice person is way down my personal list of qualifications when I pick a candidate.

I can’t get fired up watching him. I know what you mean.
I actually agree with the guy almost all the time.

Very OT but my brother-in-law is now a big Sam Adams beer fan thanx to me. My wife always tells me to get Heineken for him when he visits but one time I got Sam Adams instead. She got real mad at me but my argument was that maybe he would appreciate a break from the same beer all the time. Well, he tried Sam Adams and now that is almost all he drinks.
I might surprise him this Thanksgiving with Sam Adams Pumpkin beer.

Nice story and by the way Heineken was my main beer before I discovered Sam Adams. This was back in 1985! Now I find Heineken almost undrinkable. Those green bottles have to go.
Since Pilsner Urquell switched to brown bottles - what a difference. I put that brew right up there with the best of what Sam Adams puts out.
I think your BIL will like the pumpkin beer.
