WACO Only a few of the people arrested in the May biker shooting outside a Waco restaurant remain under ankle monitoring, and none are still in jail.
Of the 135 people originally ordered to wear GPS ankle monitors, all but 22 have been allowed to remove them, the Waco Tribune-Herald reported Sunday. Their lawyers have reached agreements with prosecutors to modify the conditions of their pre-trial release.
After initially locking up more than 170 people in connection with the May 17 incident outside Twin Peaks restaurant, McLennan County prosecutors have not charged anyone with the shooting deaths of nine people.

170 x an average of $100,000 each plus another $50,000 attorney fees = $25.5 million. I wonder what the coverage limits of Waco’s insurance is.

No. They have them properly identified by now and don’t like what they have found. They will just stay quiet and refuse to release any forensic evidence. If there is no crime then folks will not try to force them to release the evidence.

It’s my recollection that the cop that was the linchpin of the whole thing has gotten in trouble on a separate matter. Not sure that the prosecutors are going to want him on the stand at this point unless they can make the other issue go away.

They put the equivalent population of an entire small town in jail for many weeks, and then release everyone with no charges and decide to just forget the whole thing?
What a knee slapper!

Still no ballistics reports?
And what about the supposedly legal “gag orders”? No indications that any of those have been lifted.
Yeah, the cover up is running into problems.
And no, people have not moved on to other things....

Looks like they scared the doctor that the cop beat up into not pressing criminal charges, but the mess still hasn’t been swept completely under the rug.

“Maybe a few started shooting at each other first. Or maybe it was provoked by an undercover agent as some of the bikers claim. In any case, you dont fire into a large crowd because a couple of people in the crowd shoot at each other. I suspect that the reason they arent filing charges is that the videos would be so damning to the police they cant let the defense have access to them. Better for the cops to drop the whole thing.”

You just may be right. The ONE video that was released (from a business across the way from the Twin Peaks restaurant) showed just a little of the action from the periphery. It captured one individual, apparently unarmed, shot in the back, dropped to the ground and no longer moving. About 15 or 20 minutes later a member of law enforcement checked on the body and then dropped something next to the body. I would NOT be surprised if that was a "throw down" weapon they placed there. If just this single video showed that, imagine what ALL the video would allow to be recreated. That's including video from all the businesses, all the law enforcement vehicles (e.g., local police, ATF, FBI) with video cameras, the "pole cameras" that law enforcement set up BEFORE the shootings, cop body cameras and video from hundreds of confiscated cell phones.

Well, if none of the bikers are charged after all this time and all that video, who is responsible for the shootings?
Eh?

People died, right in front of other people, and to this date and time, there are no charges for the murders.
I hope the lawyers have the tenacity to see this through, and not get sidetracked or bushwacked.
To: PAR35
Don’t trust this article or draw conclusions from it — there’s not enough information given to adequately explain what’s going on inside the Waco legal system.
AND the gag order is still in place so nobody’s talking.

Most shootings, even with one victim, there are trajectory tables, pictures, wound ballistics, entry and exit holes with lines drawn through then showing where the projectile came from and where it went after it exited the body, and then the fragments of the spent bullet shown as exhibit "c".
/Here, we have what, nine(?) dead bodies, and no one is charged?, Who the hell fired these rounds?
I, and the general public deserves circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each glossy...

8000 pages of evidence “leaked” to AP. And THIS is what they report?
