You line up everybody and shoot the first one in the head. Are you going to just stand there waiting for your turn, or do you think everyone else will start screaming and running for cover?
Yes, history is replete with people lined up to be shot and doing nothing...
Shock and fear can paralyze you, even if your brain is screaming "RUN" your legs don't move...
I also may add, we don't know where the shooter was positioned in the classroom, if he cut off any escape route, you know you are toast anyway...hoping help is coming before you are gone...
Why did they not just run, they would have stood a better chance to live.
Next time some anti gun nut spouts off use some stats on the IDIOT. I collect them. I used them to keep my child’s killer in prison for the max of 12.5 yrs until he ran out his Plea Deal sentence. Weapon, a 2 ft section of fence post, Jeremy was ambushed from behind, just less than a block from home after school. 16 blows, the first one to the back of the head killed him. The killer just wanted the thrill to see what it was like to kill. Went and got his buds and watched the LEO investigate until someone ratted on him and he took off running. LEO caught the punk. What followed was 14.5 yrs in the Criminal INJUSTICE system and 6 parole hearings, the first TEN months after the plea deal was struck. I learned to use stats to keep the punk in prison until he maxed out his good behavior time. Now he walks a free man. And I CCW.
Aussie gun ban equals MORE VIOLETN CRIME.

Some people react one way, others react another.
I once had a gun pointed at me. (Turns out it was a very good replica, but I didn’t know that until I took the gun away from the punk.) Until that actually happens to you, it is probably impossible to know how you’ll react.
PS My reaction was pure violence. I beat the snot out of the punk.
