Yeah, in a civil war, there will be fellow citizens killed. However, this has grown to something much larger a civil war.

It would be easy to say that their aren't any "good guys" in this conflict, but I would say Assad is better than ISIS and the hodgepodge of other factions that oppose him.

If and when Assad falls, (I think it's most likely inevitable at this point), do you really think the Syrians who started protesting against Assad will be running the show?

I'd be more along the lines of a ISIS/Al Qaeda or whatever they go by now. The average Syrian will beg for the "good old days" when Assad ran the show.

Problem with your calculation is it’s not just Assad we’re dealing with here. It’s Assad + Iran ($100 billion from Obama & soon to be nuked up) + Russia (mass murdering fascist state). Aside from the nukes, Iran & Russia controlling the middle east will be an economic attack on the US economy. We’ll pay for it big time.
