An incident reported last February in Metro Detroit (Northland Mall) by local news station WXYZ Ch7 alleged that a black man approached a bus stop in the area where he asked people if they were Muslim and when they said no or nothing at all he attacked them with a knife. The reporter on the scene the next day stated that the victims were attacked because of their religion.



Since the incident was reported, there has been next to nothing in the way of an update on this case.
