I do not think the campus was a gun free zone. Didn’t a court decision prevent Oregon from banning guns on college campuses if someone had a permit. They may have been able to ban them from certain areas and buildings, but I do not think there was an overall ban.

The decision by the court was that you could not extend past the school itself. But state laws on the school grounds are not a legal problem. dumb but legal.
