Lewiston, Maine: Muslims Demand Mayor’s Resignation for Asking Them to Assimilate

This is how far we have fallen: an American mayor asks immigrants to America to become Americans and adopt American values, as all immigrants did in the past, and they're demanding his resignation. Of course, we've seen it many times: Muslims do not adapt. Non-Muslims must adapt to them. And so it is here. But if our society and culture were healthy, the President and politicians all over the country would be rushing to the aid of Lewiston's mayor, instead of letting him twist in the wind.

Maine has a TEA party governor, Paul LePage, elected in 2010 and re-elected in 2014.

He ended Maine’s status as a sanctuary state with days of being sworn in in January 2011, and he’s making people on welfare get jobs or lose their benefits.

He’s declaring war on EBT cards, too.

My husband's church, a few months ago, asked for volunteers to help clean up a housing complex. He went. It turned out it was full of Somalis. (and some Mexicans).

I asked if any of the actual, oh I dunno, people who actually live there came out and helped? He said a few of the women. So, no clue where the men where, inside watching dumb ass whitey clean up their stuff?????

Channel surfing last night, I stumbled across O’Reilly (whom I almost NEVER watch) just as he launched into his opening “Talking Points” segment. He was lamenting that with 70% of Americans fed up and correctly believing the country is off the rails, the “progressive” leftist Democrats keep winning elections.

His conclusion was that “...it’s because most of the voters are STUPID and don’t know or care about what’s going on around them.” He went on to comment that his opinion grows stronger with every new video brought to air by his sidekick, Jesse Waters. If you aren’t familiar with Waters’ work, check him out on You Tube – ESPECIALLY those pieces he does interviewing STUDENTS at so-called IVY LEAGUE UNIVERSITIES! Warning: If you still have a functioning brain, these may cause an overwhelming urge to stick your head into the nearest oven! CAUTION: Be certain it’s a GAS oven. Those electrics take FOREVER!

My aunt & uncle (staunch conservatives) & 4 cousins (staunch conservatives) live in ‘DownEast’ Maine among many people of the same conservative mindset . If they came up there and pulled the crap they’re pulling in Lewiston, I doubt they’d have a warm reception.

They were initially 'resettled' in Georgia.

Your timely remarks put things into the proper perspective. I had followed the situation quite closely at the time. Up here in Canada the situation is not as bad, but is happening especially in Edmonton, Albert. Somali gangs rule a certain group and an area. Canadian press very quiet though. Drug related injuries and the odd murder have occurred.

I recall when Lewiston had about 1,200 migrants from Atlanta, the local mayor was desperate. He pleaded with the "Somali Community" in Atlanta to desist sending more persons. His reasoning was that space for indigents was overflowing. That the bureaucracy handling emergency situations was at a breaking point. He was promptly called this.
