Maybe I’m missing something?
I don’t see the big deal here? Russia freely offered to supply the Iranians with Nuclear Fuel when they were claiming they only wanted Nuclear power. That was well known.
I don’t think it’s outrageous that we would attempt to control a similar offer to make sure the fuel was for reactor use using someone OTHER than Russia to supply them with reactor fuel OR to have them on record as turning the offer down.
That’s my reading of it, too. “Hey, you guys don’t need all those centrifuges or enrichment facilities that you could use to make bombs. Here’s some uranium that’s all ready to go for fuel for your peaceful power generation from France and Argentina!”
