Between 1882 and 1968 (86 years) the highest estimate is that 3446 blacks were lynched in the entire United States.

Meanwhile, during only these past 10 months in Chicago, approx. 2200 blacks were shot, out of 2300 total shootings — just within the Chicago City limits.

Interesting stats.

As horrible as lynchings were, they were rare compared to the ongoing violence seen in big city ghettoes.

It's unreasonable to place too much importance on these numbers at this time.

The year is ony 75% over.

And we can see that the good people of Chicago are doing their best to catch up and perhaps even take the lead. .
